In Indonesia, we call it kue cubit but I don't know what it is called in other countries. It is called pinch cake because its shape is small like a pinch.
This pinch cake is really liked by children as a snack. Because it is cute and small, sweet and delicious.
Many people like pinch cakes half cooked, so the middle is soft. But for children, it's best to choose cooked pinch cakes.
Especially if you buy it instead of making it. There is a concern that if it is half cooked, there will be some whose digestion is not that strong.
Making pinch cake is quite easy, the ingredients needed are also widely available in shops near your house. What needs to be specially prepared is the mold.
Here are the ingredients and how to make it
Ingredients:
145 gr wheat flour
75 gr granulated sugar
Salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg
140 gr liquid milk
40 gr melted margarine
Meses
How to make :
1. Put flour, granulated sugar, baking soda, baking powder and salt into a bowl. Mix well.
2. Add 1 egg and vanilla extract, stir
3. Add liquid milk little by little while stirring. Stir well.
4. Add liquid margarine. Stir well.
5. Put the finished dough in a container. Cover and rest for 10-15 minutes.
6. Heat the mold over medium heat and grease with margarine.
7. Only add half the dough, don't fill it because it will expand. Once the mixture has been added, reduce the heat to low.
8. When bubbles come out, sprinkle sprinkles on top.
9. If you like it half cooked, you can remove it straight away using a stick.
10. If you like it cooked, you can close the mold first so the mixture cooks.
You can use this pinch cake as lunch for children. All you have to do is warm it up in the microwave the next day.
It's so yummy.
